To put it briefly for parallely imported goods there is a dispersion of quality.
Our regular channel of importing goods is: all items are imported via the formal importer, Riedel Japan Co. which means the imported goods have passed through proper quality control inspection.
In order to satisfy the strict quality standards of the Japanese consumer, at the end of production items are inspected piece by piece, and only the goods that clear the uniformity and standard quality checks are exported to Japan.
Wine Accessories Creations Co., Ltd. ensures that for all customers we of course only sell goods that have cleared this thorough inspection and are imported via Riedel Japan Co.
(For these reasons we are a Riedel Co. APPROVED WEB SHOP)
Goods that are parallel imports meaning the items are imported to Japan via various countries (this is a common occurence) are most often older, and the quality of these is dispersed. (All Riedel products are stamped with a special manufacturer's mark on the base so that you can know the year in which it was produced)
Quality dispersion could show itself in glasses that are damaged or irregular or have an overall sort of cloudiness.
Please take sufficient caution that what you receive is not an inferior product because we would not want you to regretably throw away your hard earned money on sub par goods.
