The Dauphin corkscrews from SCIP Co. (the maker of the famous Chateau Laguiole line) now have a new look with the appearance of the Gran Cru series bestowed with natural wood accents!
Ebony wood which is polished to a wonderful black sheen is the most popular model.
Olive wood is the model with the most visible natural wood grain.
Amouretto has a hint of red in the grain.
Boxwood is the same material used to make Shogi (Japanese chess) pieces.
(All come in a case in that can be attached to a belt)

This is the result of the company that Chateau
Laguiole produced (France SCIP) and the sommelier knife users.
The landmark Winner system was produced from years of repeated
reseach and experimentation.
Until now, common knowledge was for the length of hooks to
make the corkscrews longer, however, this model uses the opposite
concept. It purposely uses a short 4 spiral corkscrew so it
does not penetrate . The specially approved long hook greatly
increases the pull ratio by a substantial amount.
The L-shaped foil cutter is 25mm long and can fits bottle
necks, with this unique sommelier knife, when you pull the
hook out the foil cutter folds back in at the same time.
As expected from Chateau Laguiole and the other makers, this
sommelier knife is a good well-balanced knife.
Recommended for everyday use.
